Supporting Your Del Rey Community since 1972
Dear Del Rey Community Neighbor,
Whether you attend our the Del Rey Resident Association (DRRA) monthly meetings, are a DRRA Member, or simply look forward to receiving our DRRA emails and notices, our Association has your back. We have all been effected in the past year by changes in our community – some good, some bad. To name a few - increased construction of multi-story building along Washington, new bike lanes along Venice Boulevard and other major streets, opening of wonderful new local restaurants, increased homeless encampments on our streets and under the 90 freeway, and much more. So much has occurred in our Del Rey community that touches every corner of our lives. Like you, we at the Del Rey Residents Association have learned how to re-prioritize our busy lives - family, friends and work.
In the past year, on the first Monday of each month, our Members have received live updates from our local LAPD Pacific Division, speakers from our L.A. City Council representatives, and organized participation in the National Night Out, the Ballona Creek clean up, the LAPD annual Carnival, the DEL REY Easter Egg Hunt at Rosenthal Park, just to name a few.
Since 1972 the Del Rey Residents Association (DRRA) has been an independent voice for the people who live in the Del Rey community. The DRRA is a private volunteer organization funded by dues and contributions. This enables us to:
- Lobby for the quality of life in our neighborhood
- Monitor the provision of public services and the proliferation of new developments
- Promote emergency preparedness programs
- Communicate through our website and distribute flyers
- Organize community meetings
Our work is done through volunteer committees such as our Emergency Preparedness Committee and the Land Use Committee.
Your Del Rey Residents Association has your back. BUT…. we need your help. If you are a Member, now is the time to renew your Annual Membership. If you are a past Member, we miss you – please re-join with your Membership. If you have not been a Member, please consider supporting us. Annual Membership is only $20.00 for your entire household. It is a small amount but means a lot to us. Without your financial support none of our efforts would be possible. Thank you for being a part of our success and strengthening the Del Rey Residents Association’s ability to be the voice of our community.
